In 2008 I worked at A. Film in Copenhagen, doing blendshapes for Niko the Raindeer. It was a good experience but not particularily creative. So I was happy when Stefan Fjeldmark, a former director there, asked me to make the basic designs and 3D models of the legendary live-action actors Olsen Banden. I remember clearly how many people thought this was a project that would flop because the Danish people had seen these actors since the 70's and to convert them into 3D would be a delicate matter.

But I was confident and with useful feedback from my co-workers at A. Film we managed to make a Pilot(below) that was good enough so that A. Film got funding for the Feature Film. It is just now released. After 2 years of work.

After the work on the pilot I moved to Paris working on A Monster in Paris, so I lost touch with the production of Olsen Banden, but later I continued the work on the other characters for Olsen Banden. During that very hectic period I modeled most of them the remaining characters as well as the blendshapes.

A. Film is a very good place to work. I miss it even though I am slightly fatigued from doing 3D modeling on fulltime between 2001-2009. So it is good to slide over to other things for a while.
